The Mayfield Police Department arrested 40-year-old Shona L. Sharp Friday on six counts of theft of identity of another without consent and theft by unlawful taking. Officers say Sharp used her already closed account at Signet Bank, and then used another person's identity on the checks to cash them at FNB Bank, where the victim had an account.
Police say Sharp cashed a total of six checks totaling over $1,000. She was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
