A report of shots fired over the weekend led to a Marshall County woman's arrest.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, deputies on Sunday responded to Salem Chapel Road in reference to a report of shots fired at an ATV and someone being held at gunpoint. Upon arrival, deputies were taken to a field where the situation was ongoing.

According to a police citation, ATV riders had been given permission to ride on a certain property but had crossed onto adjoining property, where they apparently didn't have permission to ride. They were stopped by the adjoining property owner, identified as 56-year-old Bonita Walker of Benton.

Police said Walker allegedly fired multiple rounds at the ATVs while people were on them and pointed a gun at the riders. One round reportedly missed a rider by approximately two inches.

Walker was arrested and charged with 1st degree wanton endangerment and 2nd degree criminal mischief.
