Benton Man Arrested on Meth, Gun Charges

FAIRDEALING, KY - A Marshall County man was arrested late last week on drug and weapons charges.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to a home on Jonathan Shores Road to assist Probation and Parole. Deputies searched the home and allegedly found multiple firearms along with boxes of ammunition. Deputies also reportedly found a bag of marijuana, some Oxycontin pills and a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue inside.

Thirty-one-year-old William Morris of Benton was arrested and charged with probation violation, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Morris was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
