A wanted felon has been captured and now faces new charges.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office arrested Richard McClure on Friday after he allegedly stole some prescription pills from a home in the Brownsville community. McClure tried to run from the home when police arrived and had to be tased.

After he was tased, a lengthy fight took place between McClure and the three officers. During the fight, McClure reportedly disarmed one of the officers. After approximately ten minutes, police said McClure was taken into custody.

McClure was charged with fleeing or evading police, three counts of assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, and disarming a peace officer. Outstanding warrants from Fulton County and Obion County, TN were also served on McClure.

A Fulton County Grand Jury Indictment for a vehicle pursuit that occurred in February was also served on McClure. Those charges include fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment, possession of methamphetamine and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
