MAYFIELD - Authorities are asking for the public's help locating a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run Thursday that left a woman injured.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of West Broadway and North 15th Street.

Police said a vehicle driven by 75-year-old Peggy Doran was stopped on Broadway waiting to turn onto North 15th Street when a small, white car hit the rear of her vehicle.

The white vehicle then turned left onto North 15th Street and fled the scene.

A passenger in Doran's vehicle, 57-year-old Susan Travis, complained of neck pain and was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment.

Officers were unable to find the other vehicle involved in the crash. Anyone with information concerning the identity of the driver of the white vehicle is encouraged to contact the Mayfield Police Department at 270-247-1621.
