A Paducah man's trial on charges related to the rape of a child has been set for October.

The McCracken County Circuit Court Clerk says 23-year-old Tirrell Vasser appeared in court on Monday.  He faces one count of first-degree rape, use of a minor in a sexual performance (with physical injury), possessing/viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, resisting arrest, and first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot.

After appearing before Circuit Judge Tony Kitchen on Monday, Vasser's trial was set for October 7th and is expected to last 3 days.

He was arrested June 13, 2018 after a woman told Paducah Police that she had found a video of a man engaging in sexual activity with her six-year-old daughter. Their investigation led them to Vasser, who tried to flee but was arrested after a scuffle with officers.
