A collision Wednesday night in Marshall County left two people injured.

The crash happened just after 7:00 pm on US 641 South. The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says a vehicle driven by Edward Warnick, of Metropolis, was traveling east on Dowdy Cemetery Road, when for unknown reasons it crossed the southbound lanes of US 641. Deputies said Warnick's vehicle went through the median and into the northbound lanes of US 641 and struck a vehicle driven by Lindsey Howard, of Benton, who was southbound.

Howard was transported by private vehicle to Marshall County Hospital. Warnick was transported by Air Evac to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
