Two Vehicle Crash Sends Five to Hospital

An accident in Calloway County Monday sent three adults and two children to the hospital.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at the intersection of KY 80 West and KY 783. A truck driven by 20-year-old Nicholas Brunn was crossing KY 80 West at KY 783 traveling south. Brunn failed to see a  SUV driven by 29-year-old Luis Venega  traveling eastbound on KY 80 and pulled into his path.

Venega's vehicle struck Brunn's vehicle in the passenger side, causing it to flip on its side and land on top of the guardrail. Brunn and his passengers, 20-year-old Tara Coy and and a one-month-old, were transported to and treated at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Venega and his passenger, a three-year-old, were also transported to and treated at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
