Two men face methamphetamine charges in Ballard County.

The Ballard County Sheriff's Office says deputies conducted a traffic stop early Tuesday morning on New Liberty Church Road. Deputies said the driver, 18-year-old Dylan Wade Emmons of Grand Rivers, was driving under the influence. Deputies searched the vehicle and allegedly found a broken glass pipe with suspected meth residue and some drug paraphernalia.

Emmons and his passenger, 26-year-old Jared Holsapple of Kuttawa, were arrested and lodged in the Ballard County Jail. Once at the jail, deputies say Holsapple tried to conceal a marijuana grinder in the back seat of the police cruiser.

Emmons was charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operator's license, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs second offense, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Holsapple is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.
