Two men were arrested on numerous charges Friday after a disturbance at a Mayfield daycare center.

According to the Mayfield Police Department, officers responded to the Stepping Stones Learning Center on a report that two men had run into the building. Officers arrived and found Alfred Capuano outside the building, and Richard Mossman inside the building causing a disturbance.

The two men gave police conflicting stories as to why they were there and why they were causing a disturbance. Both were arrested.

Mossman was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct. Capuano was charged with disorderly conduct, menacing and public intoxication.

Both were lodged in the Graves County Jail.

While being taken into the jail, Mossman reportedly dropped a white pill crushed in a white paper cup. He was then charged with promoting contraband.

The director of Stepping Stones Learning Center said her staff responded immediately when a man ran inside the building, and someone called police. She said officers arrived within a couple of minutes and no children were in danger during the incident.
