Two Arrested on Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

Two women were arrested Sunday afternoon on drug charges during a traffic stop.

According to the Kentucky State Police, a trooper pulled over a car in Gilbertsville driven by 54-year-old Lisa Ferguson of Clinton for speeding at around 4:30 p.m. Troopers reportedly found meth, paraphernalia and cash during a search of the vehicle. Police said they also found meth, marijuana and prescription pills on the passenger, 25-year-old Kaitlin Myrick of West Paducah.   

Ferguson was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, and not having insurance. Myrick was also arrested and charged with trafficking meth, possession of Percocet, possession of Xanax, Possession of Suboxone, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

Both women were booked into the Marshall County Jail.
