Two Mayfield men were arrested Sunday night following a police pursuit in Graves County.

According to the Kentucky State Police, a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle shortly before 11 p.m. for a traffic violation near the intersection of KY 121 and Paducah Road. The vehicle fled and a pursuit began. The pursuit ended near KY 1748 and Old Dukedom Road. 

The driver, 19-year-old James Blakemore of Mayfield, was charged with 1st degree wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, criminal mischief, trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana greater than 8 ounces, aggravated DUI, and other traffic violations.

A passenger, 19-year-old Brendan Ellegood of Mayfield, was also arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana greater than 8 ounces, and public intoxication. 

Blakemore and Ellegood were booked into the Graves County Detention Facility.
