Trigg Man Arrested After Pursuit and Collision

CADIZ, KY - Kentucky State Police arrested a Trigg County man Monday night following a vehicle pursuit and collision. 

According to KSP, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a trooper tried to stop an SUV for speeding and no registration on Main Street in Cadiz. The driver did not stop, and instead accelerated to speeds of over 100 mph while traveling on Highway 68/80 and then on Kings Chapel Road.  While on Kings Chapel Road, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn numerous times.

A passenger in the vehicle, 22-year-old Leslie A. Sisco, of Hopkinsville, was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries received during the collision.

The driver, 22-year-old Preston S. Hightower, of Cadiz, was treated at the scene of the collision for minor injuries.  He was then arrested and charged with speeding, no registration plates, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, aggravated driving under the influence, operating on a suspended license, no insurance and possession of marijuana. 

Hightower was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
