Traffic Stop Leads to Charges for Calloway Man

CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY - A traffic stop Tuesday night in Calloway County led to multiple charges against a New Concord man.
According to Calloway County Sheriff Sam Steger, deputies were in the area of Kline Trail in New Concord Tuesday night, attempting to locate 46 year old Robert G. Colson of New Concord on a felony warrant. Colson's car was located and stopped, and a small container of methamphetamine was found lying on the driver's floorboard.
Colson was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, possession of methamphetamine and failure to wear a seat belt. He was also served with a felony arrest warrant for 2nd degree assault, terroristic threatening and menacing.
Colson was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center.
