A Kevil man was arrested Thursday on drug charges after a traffic stop.

The Ballard County Sheriff's Office says deputies had gotten some complaints about drug activity in the Kevil area and saw a gray Nissan back into a parking spot at the Dollar General on the east side of the building, far from the doors. The driver, 37-year-old David Blye,  was seen getting out, going to the trunk, then returning to the driver seat.

Several minutes later, another vehicle drove up and a woman got out and got into Blye's vehicle before getting back into her car and leaving the scene.

Deputies stopped both vehicles. A search revealed almost four ounces of suspected methamphetamine, scales, baggies, syringes, and other paraphernalia in Blye's vehicle's trunk.

Blye was charged with first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to produce insurance card and tampering with physical evidence.
