Sodexo, the company contracted to manage Murray State University's dining services, has announced the timeline for the Chick-fil-A restaurant coming to the campus, as well as other popular eateries that will also be coming.
According to The Murray Ledger and Times, the announcement was made Friday at a meeting of the university's Board of Regents. In addition to Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Einstein Brothers Bagels, and Steak 'n Shake will also be coming to campus.
The Chick-fil-A will occupy The Stables, which is on the first floor of the Curris Center. This is expected to be completed by the fall of 2019. Also slated for a fall 2019 opening is Starbucks, which will be in a location near the dance lounge on the second floor of the Curris Center, and The Thoroughbred Room, in the Curris Center, will feature a Steak 'n Shake restaurant. Einstein Brothers Bagels, also expected in 2019, will occupy a location in the Waterfield Library.
An announcement was also made that in 2020, the Winslow Dining Hall will be remodeled.
In October, Sodexo took over the university's dining services with a deal worth $35.6 million which runs through June of 2029.
