Three Charged With Scrap Metal Theft

Three men face charges in connection to scrap metal theft in Livingston County.

According to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department, deputies received a complaint about a possible theft in progress at a property on Dunlap Road. As deputies were in route to the location, they saw a truck matching the description of the suspect vehicle.

Deputies were able to stop the truck and found a large amount of scrap metal was in the back. From questioning the three men in the truck, deputies determined that they had stolen the items from the residence on Dunlap Road.

They arrested 22-year-old Tyler Derry of Metropolis, 34-year-old Andrew Hall of Utica, and 30-year-old Brandon Cannon of Grand Rivers. All three were charged with theft.
