Police have located and arrested two suspects in a Murray parking lot robbery earlier this week.

The Murray Police Department says 29-year-old Allison Hunter of Hopkinsville was captured Wednesday in West Des Moines, IA, after a similar robbery there. Also arrested was 32-year-old Justin Marshall of Panama City Beach, FL.

The robbery happened Monday morning in the Murray Walmart parking lot. Surveillance video reportedly showed a vehicle circle the parking lot several times, then backed into a parking space to wait for an elderly driver to park, exit her vehicle and walk past. Police say that as the victim walked past, Hunter lunged out and grabbed her purse, dragging her to the ground in the process.

According to officers, Hunter got back into the car after a brief struggle and sped off, almost striking the victim.

Both Hunter and Marshall are charged with 2nd degree robbery and 1st degree theft. Marshall was also charged with fleeing. The vehicle the suspects were in was allegedly stolen out of Kirksville, MO.

Police said charges from the Murray robbery are pending.
