At the winter meeting of the Board of Trustees for Summit Christian University, the Board elected Mr. David Wright of Mayfield, KY as the first Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Wright is a retired engineer from the United States Enrichment Corporation Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant. He serves in many capacities at First Baptist Church in in Mayfield, as deacon and other ministries on campus. He and his wife, Pam, formerly owned the Apothecary Shoppe in Mayfield.

Dr. Keith Roach, President of the University stated, “We are elated that David was elected and agreed to serve as Chairman. David brings a wealth of knowledge and good business sense to the University, you might say he is the 'right' man for the job.”

Dr. Roach also stated that Mr. Wright will be responsible for leading the board in a shared governance of the future of SCU.
