State Police Arrest Man for Trafficking Fentanyl

The Kentucky State Police have arrested two Missouri men for trafficking drugs following a traffic stop Thursday morning on I-24 in Lyon County. 

According to KSP, Troopers assigned to the Post 1 Interdiction Team stopped a car for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, Troopers detected the odor of marijuana and conducted a search of the vehicle. 

Inside the car, police found approximately four ounces of high grade marijuana, numerous packages of Fentanyl, pills believed to be Adderall, numerous items of drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking and over $3,000 in cash. The items were seized and both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

The driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Logan W. Daugherty, of Blue Springs, MO, was charged with trafficking in Fentanyl, trafficking marijuana, possession of amphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The passenger, 21-year-old Thomas A. Gouldsmith, also of Blue Springs, MO, was charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
