A pair of Smithland teenagers face burglary and theft charges in Livingston County.

Livingston County Sheriff Bobby Davidson says he arrested 18-year-old Logan Hart and 19-year-old Johnny Chittenden, both of Smithland, Thursday afternoon in connection with a burglary and theft investigation that began on Wednesday.

Davidson said Hart and Chittenden burglarized a pole barn and stole an ATV. He says the two then went to Berry's Ferry and used the ATV to push a public restroom into the river. The pair then reportedly broke into an unoccupied home on Bethel Hill Road. The ATV was found wrecked about six miles from the scene of the burglary.

Hart and Chittenden face charges of third-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking over $10,000. Davidson says more charges are possible.
