Hurt was shot at a Ledbetter home on Saturday and died the next day from her injuries. A man is facing a murder charge from the incident.
Hurt is survived by her parents, Chaney and Amy Hurt, three siblings, her grandparents, great-grandparents, two nephews, an aunt, and two cousins.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 pm at the Lone Oak location of Milner and Orr Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Peyton believed in the ministry of Lifeline Ministries and Ladies Living Free, and her family is requesting donations to the organization in her memory. The address for Lifeline Ministries is 2806 Morgan Lane, Paducah, KY 42001.
