A Graves County man is facing DUI and wanton endangerment charges after a two-vehicle collision Sunday night.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 9:30 pm in the 2000 block of KY 303. Deputies said 28-year-old David Burton of Sedalia was traveling north when he crossed the centerline and sideswiped a vehicle driven by Jana Gibson.

Burton's vehicle then traveled down an embankment and struck a tree, coming to rest on the passenger side, pinned between two tree trunks. Deputies said Burton was under the influence at the time of the crash.

Burton was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries. He was then arrested and charged with DUI 2nd offense, two counts of wanton endangerment and driving on a DUI suspended license.

He was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
