According to deputies, the theft occurred early Sunday at the Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel employee parking lot, located in the 800 block of River Road, north of Smithland. Police say the theft occurred between 5 and 6 am.
According to deputies, a gun, some ammunition and other items were stolen from a vehicle and the thief appeared to have been on foot.
Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to contact the Livingston County Sheriff's Office at (270) 928-2122 or Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555. There is a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
