One person was injured, and both drivers were cited after a Friday afternoon crash in Graves County.

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon reports Deputies were dispatched to a collision with injuries at KY 303 and West Tucker Rd.

According to police, at around noon Friday Misty Shea, of Mayfield along with passenger Pam Blalock, of Mayfield were south bound on KY 303 and met a vehicle driven by Zachary Sullivan, of Mayfield coming the opposite way. Sullivan reportedly turned left in front of Shea, failing to yield right of way. Shea swerved to miss Sullivan, left the roadway and struck an earth embankment.

The passenger in Shea’s vehicle was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Sullivan’s vehicle was not struck, and police said there were no other injuries.

Shea was cited for failure of owner to maintain insurance. Police said charges are pending on Sullivan for failure to yield right of way.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Mayfield/Graves County EMS, Sedalia Fire Department and the Kentucky State Police.
