An arrest has been made in Monday's home invasion robbery in Graves County, and police say one suspect is still on the loose.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Pedro Villegas III, of Mayfield, was arrested Tuesday morning at a local Mayfield restaurant. Deputies say Villegas was identified as a suspect in the home invasion robbery that occurred Monday afternoon on Piney Point, south of Mayfield.

Villegas allegedly confessed to deputies his role in the crime and was lodged in the Graves County Jail on charges of 1st degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence.

The other male suspect, 22-year-old Austin T. Jones, of Clinton, is currently being sought. Jones is a white male, 5’5” tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. He has long brown hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information as to the location of Jones is asked to contact the Graves County Sheriff’s Office or call your local law enforcement agency.

Numerous concerned citizens reported sightings and gave the sheriff’s office valuable information after the robbery yesterday.

“We would like to thank each and every person who provided information to us about this case,” Chief Deputy Devant Ramage said. “The information that was provided to us was used to develop suspects in this case and to help us make an arrest in roughly 19 hours after the crime was committed.”
