After weeks of high water and minor flooding, the Ohio River at Paducah fell below flood stage on Sunday.

As of Monday morning, the Paducah river gauge was at 37.7 feet, below Paducah's flood stage of 39 feet. 

Upstream, the river went below flood stage at Smithland and Golconda on Friday.

The Ohio River at Cairo is still experiencing minor flooding in low lying areas, with a Monday gauge reading of 44.7 feet. The river at Cairo is expected to fall below flood stage of 40 feet by Wednesday night.
