O'Hare Airport Struggling to Get Back to Normal

The head of the Federal Aviation Administration says he's ordered a review of the  agency's security protocols and how it deals with unexpected incidents such as last  week's fire at a Chicago-area air traffic facility that disrupted air travel.
 
FAA Administrator Michael Huerta said Monday that he has asked the team of  employees and union representatives "think as creatively as possible" during a 30- day review of the incident, which brought flights at the city's two busy airports to a halt and affected air service  across the country.
 
Barkley Airport GM Richard Roof said the FAA estimates it will be Oct 13 before the air traffic center in Aurora is fully operational, and it's running at about 65 % now.

Paducah's afternoon inbound flight from Chicago was cancelled, but the outgoing flight at 3:00 pm was set to leave on schedule. As of now, tonight's flights are on schedule.

O'Hare Airport says about 500 flights were affected today by last week's fire.
