A Grand Rivers man has been arrested for unlawful imprisonment and other charges.

According to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department, a clerk at a Grand Rivers business received a note from a woman saying she was being held against her will, and the clerk contacted law enforcement. An investigation led to a home on Pat Loomis Drive, where deputies encountered a woman, and 40-year-old Steven J. Talley.

Deputies learned Talley was already wanted on warrant for 4th degree assault. They spoke to him through a window, and after entering the home, scuffled briefly with Talley before he was taken into custody.

Talley was charged with the warrant, and also with unlawful imprisonment 2nd degree, resisting arrest, fleeing or evading police, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, two counts of assault 3rd degree, and one count of assault 4th degree.
