Murray Woman Killed in Highway 80 Crash

GRAVES COUNTY, KY - A woman was killed Monday night in Graves County when the dump truck she was driving overturned.

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said the crash happened around 6:45 pm on KY 80 East near KY 564. Deputies said 51-year-old Lena Tucker of Murray, was traveling east in a dump truck when she ran off into the median.

Police said Tucker overcorrected and the truck went off the right side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned. When deputies arrived at the scene, the dump truck was fully engulfed in flames.

Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene by Graves County Corner Brad Jones. Deputies said several people who witnessed the collision or came upon it stopped and tried to free Tucker but were unable to do so.
