Murray State is set to host the 13th annual Fall Fanfare concert.

According to an email sent out Thursday, the Murray State Department of Music will be hosting the concert, which is set for September 21 at 2 PM in the Lovett Auditorium.

The event will raise money to fund scholarships for the University music students, and features the University orchestra, choirs, percussion ensemble, flute quartet, concert band, jazz combos, a marching band, and more.

The event will feature music across several decades, from classical and traditional, to rock songs from the 1960's and 1970's.

Doors will open at 1:30 PM, tickets for adults are $10, and tickets for anyone 10 and under are $5.

"The music faculty is dedicated to helping its students, and this concert is one of the many ways to ensure this takes place," said Professor of Music Dr. Stephanie Rea. "It's very gratifying to see deserving students rewarded with music scholarships that we are able to offer as a result of the fundraising from this concert."
