Murray State ‘Racers Give’ Campaign Starts Today
By West Kentucky Star Staff
MURRAY - Murray State University kicks off a special “Racers Give” campaign on Friday to raise money for need-based scholarships.

Recently, Murray State’s 14th President and alumnus, Dr. Robert L (Bob) Jackson, announced that he will forego a formal Presidential Investiture and instead defer approximately $25,000 to the Murray Fund for Excellence, for need-based scholarships.

To accompany that gesture, between November 29 and December 6, Jackson is inviting the Murray State community to contribute to “Racers Give.”

The goal of the comprehensive giving campaign is to raise $100,000 to support need-based scholarships for Murray State students.
