Police are asking for the public's help in finding suspects in a burglary reported Thursday.

Just after 5 am, the Murray Police Department responded to an alarm at the Verizon Wireless store on Chestnut Street. When officers arrived, they noticed that the front door had been damaged and someone had entered the store. The suspects that entered the store left prior to officers’ arrival.

After clearing the scene and taking an inventory of the missing items with store employees, it was determined several thousand dollars in theft and damage had occurred.

Murray Police also received information that Verizon stores in nearby counties also experienced thefts on the same morning. Police believe that the same people broke into multiple stores within a couple of days.

Anyone with information regarding these thefts should contact the Murray Police Department at 270-753-1621 or your local police department.
