Murray Pair Arrested After Man Flees Traffic Stop

MURRAY, KY - A Murray man and woman face charges
after a traffic stop Saturday afternoon in Graves County.
According to Kentucky State Police, a
trooper stopped a car for a traffic violation on KY 94, west of
Tri-City. During the traffic stop, the driver, 40-year-old Demetrick
Rose of Murray, got out of the car and fled into a field, leaving two
juveniles, ages 11 and 3, in the car. The trooper pursued Rose into
the field but terminated his pursuit and returned to the car to
ensure the safety of the children. They were later released to their
Rose was found later that night at a
house on Butterworth Road in Calloway County. He was arrested on
multiple charges, including giving an officer a false name or
address, DUI second offense, resisting arrest, theft of
identity, wanton endangerment, abandonment of a minor
and fleeing or evading police. Three probation violation warrants
were also served on Rose.
Also arrested at the home was
40-year-old Shanna Rose of Murray. She's charged with hindering
prosecution or apprehension, possession of drug paraphernalia and
possession of marijuana.
