Murray Man Behind Bars After Drug Raid

An early morning drug raid in Murray has put a man behind bars.

According to the Kentucky State Police, a search warrant was served on First Street in Murray Friday morning at around 5:30 am.  The warrant was issued as a result of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

During the search, troopers say they located various drugs inside the residence along with a large sum of cash believed to be proceeds of drug trafficking.

Troopers arrested 37-year-old Clifton D. Jones of Murray, and charged him with first degree trafficking a controlled substance (meth), first degree trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine), trafficking marijuana 2nd offense, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones was booked into the Calloway County Jail.
