A Murray man was arrested Saturday afternoon after he allegedly assaulted the mother of his child for the second time this week.

Cadiz Police responded to an assault call at Barkley Manor Apartments early Saturday morning. The tenant, Latosha Woods, told police that 28-year-old Deronte Moss knocked on the apartment door and that when she opened the door, Moss began an argument with Woods and a 17-year-old male juvenile.

Moss then allegedly used a knife to stab the juvenile in the arm. The juvenile was taken to Trigg County Hospital for treatment. Woods also suffered a minor injury in the fight.

Moss then fled the scene, but Cadiz Police and the Murray Police Department were able to locate him at a Pine Street residence in Murray at approximately 10:30 Saturday morning.

Moss had injuries on his hands consistent with knife wounds, and he was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment.

Moss was then released to the custody of Cadiz Police Seargant Chad Grace and returned to Trigg County, where he was charged with two counts of 2nd-degree assault and one count of 1st-degree burglary in connection with today's incident.

Moss was also served a Trigg County arrest warrant for 2nd-degree burglary stemming from a November 5, 2012 incident in which Moss allegedly forced his way into Woods' apartment and assaulted her. Moss fled the scene that day, and police had been looking for him since the incident.

Moss is currently being held in the Christian County Jail.
