Murray Hospital Hosts Free Health Screenings

In recognition of Doctors’ Day, Murray-Calloway County Hospital will host an open house on Saturday, March 25, from 8 am - 10 am to allow the public an opportunity to obtain free screenings, meet physicians, and tour the Surgery Department. This tour of the Surgery Department will be an inside look at the patient process when having surgery. The open house will give the community time to visit with our practices and staff and learn more about what is offered at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

"We encourage everyone to partake in the free screenings and meet our practices," says Jerry Penner, MCCH’s CEO. "This is always a good time to check out what all we have to offer you. At MCCH, we specialize in you and once you come meet us you will see that. We look forward to seeing you there!”

During the open house, community members can take advantage of several free screenings including the following:  blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index, blood draw for lipid test, and waist circumference. The blood test requires a 12 hour fast prior to the screening. Water is encouraged. There will also be several informational booths with educational materials. Guests will also have the opportunity to win a half hour massage.

Guests will also have a chance to meet physicians and learn more about the service lines Murray-Calloway County Hospital has to offer. Guests will have the opportunity to meet providers and gain information from the following: Bariatric Solutions, Murray Cardiology, Murray Medical Associates, Murray Orthopaedics, Murray Pediatrics, Murray Psychiatry Associates, Murray Urology, Acute Rehab, Hospice, West KY Gastroenterology, Primary Care Medical Center, and Radiology.

Guests should enter through the South Tower main entrance located on Vine Street. The Open House and Health Screening Event will take place on the second floor in the Murray-Calloway County Hospital Outpatient Surgery waiting area.
