Murray Attorney Pleads Guilty to Theft Charges

A Murray attorney charged with stealing from his clients has pleaded guilty.

Joseph Bolin entered a guilty plea Monday to two counts of theft by unlawful taking of more than $10,000.

The charges against Bolin were filed after Kentucky State Police began an investigation last year when they were contacted by a victim that alleged Bolin had not made all the required disbursement payments relating to a probate case he was overseeing.

The seven-month long investigation reportedly showed Bolin failed to disperse over $900,000 dealing with several probate cases.

Formal sentencing in the case is set for Nov. 19.
