More New COVID-19 Cases in Western KY, Southern IL

As of Wednesday evening there are 18 new cases of COVID-19 in the region.

On Wednesday, the Purchase District Health Department announced the confirmation of seven additional cases of the virus in McCracken County. Each person tested positive on Tuesday. According to health officials, McCracken County has had a total of 59 positive cases of the virus.

Ballard has seven, Hickman has three, Carlisle has two, and Fulton has one. Health officials say 25 individuals have recovered, while three have died due to complications with the virus.

The Graves County Health Department also announced eight additional cases on Wednesday, bringing their total number of cases to 130. Each person is self-isolated at home, with the exception of one individual that is isolated in the hospital.

Marshall County Health Department said there were no new cases, so their total is still thirty-two. Twelve of those people have recovered, nineteen cases are active, and one person has died. 

Southern Seven Health Department reports three new cases, all from Union County. The seven southernmost counties now have 40 cases, but 16 have recovered.
