In a Monday Facebook post, Lyon County Judge Executive Wade White announced that beginning on Thursday at 4 p.m. they will be giving away boxes of free vegetables at the Lee S. Jones Park south of Eddyville.
According to White, families from outside of Lyon County are welcome after 6 p.m.
Anyone that is interested should follow the signs at the park, pull up to the volunteers, pop your trunk, and let them know whether you need one box or two. There will be a maximum of two boxes per family.
