Mayfield's Walk Through Bethlehem Begins Wednesday
By WestKyStar Staff
MAYFIELD, KY - Mayfield First Church of the Nazarene is once again presenting “Walk Through Bethlehem.” The event is in its seventh year and is being presented five nights in a row, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 28 through Sunday, Dec. 2, from 6-8 pm nightly.

The church is located at 1200 West Broadway in Mayfield, where the tiny city of Bethlehem literally comes to life in the 10-plus acres that nestle in the woods behind the church.

The church holds a hospitality room inside in the warmth of their fellowship hall, offering goodies and hot chocolate to warm the Bethlehem visitors. Transportation is available down to the city via golf carts for those with disabilities, but the walk through the city can only be made on foot or by wheelchairs. For more information call the church at 270-247-7328.

The church reminds visitors that in the event of rain or high winds, the production will be cancelled for that night. Also, guests need to arrive no later than 7:40 pm to begin their pilgrimage, as the city closes its gates promptly at 8 pm each night.
