A Mayfield woman faces charges after a hit-and-run accident in Graves County Saturday afternoon. According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, Melissa Seay was sitting at a stop light at the intersection of US 45 North and the Purchase Parkway when her vehicle was struck from behind by a white pick-up truck.

Deputies said the driver of the truck cut through the grassy area of the on-ramp and fled north on the parkway. Seay was checked by EMS and refused transport to the hospital.

Deputies were able to locate the truck and driver on Lumber Road in Mayfield after about an hour search. The vehicle was towed and impounded.

Sandy Hutson was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, criminal mischief 3rd degree, failure to notify transportation cabinet of an address change and failure of owner to maintain insurance.
