A Graves County woman was arrested Monday morning on drug and theft charges.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers responded to the Marathon Gas Station on 121 North after off-duty Kentucky State Police Troopers allegedly observed a woman shoplift from the store. The woman, 38-year-old Darcy Adams of Mayfield, was placed under arrest.

During her arrest, police said Adams was found in possession of a clear crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, and a glass pipe containing burnt residue.

Adams was lodged in the Graves County Jail on charges of theft by unlawful taking under $500, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
