Mayfield Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges

MAYFIELD, KY - A traffic stop Tuesday afternoon in
Mayfield led to one woman's arrest and charges against another.
According to the Mayfield Police
Department, officers stopped a vehicle on West Broadway for having a
canceled registration plate. The driver of the vehicle, Heather
Marshall, was reportedly driving on a suspended license. After
Marshall was placed under arrest, police said suspected marijuana and
several pills were found in her possession.
Marshall's passenger, Angelique
Keeling, was also found in possession of a substance. She told
officers the substance was methamphetamine. Police said Keeling also
had several prescription pills not in their proper container.
Marshall was arrested and charged
with possession of marijuana, illegal possession of a legend drug,
possession of drug paraphernalia and operating on a suspended
license. She was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
Keeling was cited to court on charges
of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia
and prescription controlled substance not in the original container.
She was released at the scene.
