A man and two juveniles are facing burglary charges in Mayfield.

According to the Mayfield Police Department, officers responded to East Walnut Street on Tuesday on a report that multiple people had illegally entered an unoccupied home. When the officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Michael Sanderson, of Mayfield, and two female juveniles inside the home.

According to police, the side door of the home had apparent damage caused by forced entry. Police also said the home had been pilfered through, and officers allegedly found multiple prescription containers on the floor.

The suspects were detained and escorted from the home. The two juveniles were transported to the Mayfield Police Department where they were cited into court for 3rd degree burglary and then released to their parents.

Sanderson was also charged with 3rd degree burglary and lodged in the Graves County Jail.
