The Graves County Sheriff's Office says a deputy was dispatched to Clayton Road on a report of an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, the caller told the deputy they thought they saw someone go into the woods behind the home. The wooded area behind the home was searched but no one was found.
While interviewing the victims, deputies received a report that a man had been found walking in the area of KY 1124. A deputy arrived and found 29-year-old Joshua Nesler, of Mayfield.
Deputies said Nesler was under the influence of substances other than alcohol. Nesler was arrested and searched. He was allegedly found in possession of six hydrocodone tablets in his shorts pocket along with nine whole and 59 pieces of Alprazolam tablets in his shoe.
Nesler was lodged in the Graves County Jail on charges of public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of trafficking controlled substance.
