According to the Mayfield Police Department, an officer received information from the victim that 33-year-old Patrick Cartwright had brandished a weapon, and demanded she give her truck to him. The victim refused, and was eventually kicked out of the vehicle on State Route 944.
Kentucky State Police found Cartwright in Wingo Saturday night and placed under arrest. He was charged by Mayfield Police with 1st degree robbery, theft by unlawful taking over $500 (motor vehicle), and theft by unlawful taking under $500. He faces additional charges from Kentucky State Police.
Cartwright was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
