A robbery and vehicle pursuit in Mayfield Saturday afternoon led to a man's arrest on multiple charges.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers received a report that 30-year-old Tori Toni Curtis, of Mayfield, had stolen a family member's vehicle, and had fled in an unknown direction. While officers were searching for the vehicle, police learned that a man had just robbed the Dollar General Store on State Route 131, east of Mayfield, with a gun.

Officers, along with deputies from the Graves County Sheriff's Department, responded to the area to search for the vehicle and suspect. An officer spotted Curtis' vehicle on East Broadway near Pryor Street.

Curtis began to evade police, and traveled onto the Dick Castleman Bypass traveling southbound toward State Route 97. According to police, Curtis was traveling into oncoming lanes of travel, attempting to elude police, nearly causing collisions.

Curtis continued onto State Route 97 and then turned onto Smith's Lane. The pursuit ended when Curtis' vehicle ran off a dead end road into a muddy field. Curtis was apprehended without incident. Police say he was found in possession of cash and a realistic pellet handgun.

Curtis was transported to the Graves County Jail. He's charged with 1st degree robbery, theft by unlawful taking under $10,000 (motor vehicle), fleeing and evading police, three counts of wanton endangerment, reckless driving, no operator's license, failure to maintain required insurance, and criminal mischief.
