A Graves County man faces a long list of charges following a traffic stop Thursday night in Mayfield.

According to the Mayfield Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle for speeding around 10:15 pm at the intersection of North 8th Street and West Broadway. Police said the driver, 28-year-old Joseph Garnett, of Mayfield, appeared to be impaired.

Field sobriety tests were administered to Garnett, and he was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Officers said Garnett also had his three-year-old daughter in the front passenger seat of the vehicle with no child restraint.

Garnett was arrested, and lodged in the Graves County Jail. He's charged with speeding, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to use child restraint device, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol 3rd offense, driving on a DUI suspended license, tampering with physical evidence and wanton endangerment.
