Mayfield Man Arrested for Stealing Items from Car

A Mayfield man was arrested Thursday afternoon after police say he stole items from a vehicle.

The Mayfield Police Department says an officer responded at 2 p.m. to a report of a theft from a vehicle in the 600 block of North 15th Street. The officer caught up to the suspect, David Mangrum of Mayfield, at 15th and Clark Streets. 

Police said Mangrum admitted to taking items from the vehicle, and had the stolen items on him.

Mangrum was arrested and taken to the Graves County Jail. He's charged with receiving stolen property under $500.
